Craft 3, the latest version of the personal productivity app, aimed to provide users with a versatile platform for capturing, organizing, and developing ideas. It helps users set priorities, capture thoughts, reflect on them and develop them further. The company has prioritized speed and offline functionality, ensuring that Craft 3 operates at blazing-fast speeds and is offline-first. This means users no longer need to worry about accessing important information when they need it, regardless of their internet connection. However, the team faced a significant hurdle: creating diverse, high-quality, seamless patterns for their new washi tape feature. Traditional methods proved time-consuming and limiting.
“My primary challenge is finding a way to generate a wide array of seamless patterns. I attempted to purchase these from a stock image website, but ultimately, the images lacked diversity and all seemed quite similar. Additionally, it's difficult to find illustrators for this type of work. However, with Recraft, generating these patterns takes just a few seconds".
